Maglev High Speed Rail

Hovering Flying Trains

Japan is building a hover rail transportation system. Maglev High Speed Rail in Japan will connect the Island’s 3 largest cities, Tokyo, Nagoya and Kyoto, covering 300 miles in about 67 minutes, at a speed of 300 mph.

Smooth Train Ride

The Maglev technology will use powerful magnetic charges, to elevate the train above a concrete guideway, without the need for steel wheels, providing a smooth ride at significant speeds.

Private Financing

It is being financed without public money, at a cost of US $85 billion and the line is being built by JR Central.

Environment

There are environmental concerns.
